Do you celebrate Chinese New Year? At our school we celebrate it complete with a lion dance and paper lanterns. And yet each year it feels like I struggle a bit to find an activity for the kids to make that's A. easy enough for them and B. matches the theme. I'd love to make moon cakes with them, but moon cakes with a large class of preschoolers couldn't be as hands on as I'd like.
So we're going to start off easy and see how far we can get with some other Chinese New Year's themed art. First off a small hand drum.
