Make Magazine recently had a snippet about one way to keep busy in a coffee shop. It's something we've been doing for a while, but I never thought of it as anything much until I saw it published somewhere.
It's simple, grab a few wooden coffee stirrers and a few plastic straws (scissors optional) and start constructing.
As an alternative you can use small regular straws and pipe cleaners.
