With Summer here we're spending more and more time outside playing and less time inside doing our usual art projects. So I decided we'd try a little outside project with items found in nature (mostly) and we came up with this little fairy. It's not the cutest thing, but it's an easy project that you could do at the park or even on a camping trip.
materials:
leaves
paper
small twig/stick
flowers
scissors
get to work:
1. You'll have to start by finding a leaf that's symmetrical, we used a maple leaf and cut it half.
2. Cut out a "fairy" from your paper and decorate it. It should be about the size of the leaf.
3. Using the small twig stick poke the twig through the top of the leaves and the fairy and then bring the twig back through the bottom part of the leaves and fairy, securing all the pieces together. (see picture)
