Happy New Year! I hope you had a fun and/or relaxing new year with friends and family. We had such a great time in Arizona, visiting friends and family, having date nights, going to the zoo, taking hikes and eating at all of our favorite restaurants! But now it's time to get back to reality and back to work.
With a new year comes new things, and one of those new things is a new calendar. I was a bit sad to take down my Vintage Posters calendar because it added such life to my work space. Then I remembered, I don't throw things away, I turn them into art projects. And that's exactly what we did this morning. Max and I made some frames from old calendars and brightened up our fridge.
Why don't you give it a go? It's a nice reuse and a simple project that even the youngest kids can help out with.
materials:calendar
glue stick
scissors
tape (optional)
photos
get to work:
1. Begin by tearing out a page from your old calendar.
2. Fold it in half and cut a rectangle/square slightly smaller than the size of your photo.
3. Glue photo down to the paper (or tape it down if you want to reuse it later) and then glue down the back edges of the paper.
4. Hang it up on the fridge with tape or a magnet.
