Oak Tree, Snow Storm, Yosemite, Ansel Adams 1948
Well, we made it. Now it's just a hop, skip and a jump to Christmas and New Years. How are you spending your weekend? We'll be packing up and getting ready to head to Arizona for some family time. I've already been scouting out some fun things to do and am really excited about seeing a W. Eugene Smith exhibition on Jazz artists, at the university. Which got me thinking about photography, which ultimately led to this photo by Ansel Adams. Can't you just feel the chill in the air when you look at this image? Brrr.
I decided to pair this image with a classic -The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats (whose name has so much rhythm to it I could say it again and again). And here is a really awesome lesson plan/art lesson that I suggest you check out.
Happy Holidays everyone! I'll be in and out until January 7th as I enjoy spending some time my family and friends!
