I was recently looking at this site called Love Letters to Tucson (and needless to say getting a little teary eyed and homesick), when I came across this contributor/artist and his very interesting and very cool upcoming community arts project. Along with other local artists, Mykl Wells has put together the Cardboard Ball, an art/dance party where participants make art and fashion out of cardboard. All proceeds go to another local event, the All Souls Procession Workshops, which then leads to the amazing All Souls Procession.
If you're in Tucson, passing through, visiting, living etc. I definitely recommend you try your hand at some cardboard art. If you're not in Tucson, I'm going to suggest you make this event your own. Grab some old cardboard, and a box cutter and get to work. (Obviously children should be supervised and aided by an adult).
