Tape Collage

We're starting off another school year with projects focused on colors. This project goes beyond the basics of primary colors and into color coordination, design and planning. The goal is for the kids to make a colorful collage using some basic planning skills (remember, tape sticks where you put it!).

Tape Collage

materials:
colorful tape (decorative tape)
paper
scissors (optional)

get to work:

1. Show your child how to tear or cut off small pieces of tape.

2. Now they can arrange each the tape onto the paper.

3. Work until the paper is covered with colorful tape or until your child decides they are finished with their masterpiece.

*For younger children, this is a good time to mention that tape is sticky! Wherever you stick it, it will stay, so they may want to do a little planning before they stick their tape down.
