Summer Reading for Toddlers

As I mentioned we drove up to Lake Tahoe last weekend for a family get away. The three hour drive was a bit of a practice trip to see how Max did in the car before we head to Oregon later this summer. Before we took off I walked over to the comic book store and picked up a book for him. This was his first graphic novel and I can say it kept his imagination going for hours! Seriously, hours.

There aren't too many words to Robot Dreams, most of the story is told in pictures, which meant that he could "read" the story all by himself. The story line is incredibly sweet too, it's your classic Dog is lonely, Dog builds robot friend, Robot friend gets stuck on the beach from Fall-Spring, Dog tries to reunite with robot, Robot and Dog find happiness in the end.

Truly a lovely little story.
