Summer Camp Week 6: Superheroes continued


Power bands (or power cuffs) can give your superhero an assortment of powers from shooting lasers to freeze rays, calling for back up (superheroes need backup?) or even Other power bands simply look cool and add some flare to a superhero's costume. 

Today we have power bands two ways - one for the big kids and one for the wee ones. Check them out! 

Power Bands
(for the big kids)

materials:
coffee clutches
gold paint
paint brush
foam/construction paper
velcro
glue

get to work:
1. Start by opening the coffee clutch so that you can spread it out on the table. 

2. Paint the underside of the clutch gold. 

3. Let dry. 

4. Use scissors and cut out shapes from the construction paper/foam. 

5. Glue the shapes to your power band.

6. Secure the band with velcro so you can take it on and off. 

Power Bands 
(for wee ones)

materials:
foam "paper"
scissors
glue
markers
decorative tape
tissue paper
velcro 

get to work:
1. Start by cutting a strip of foam that's long enough to wrap around the child's wrist. 

2. Decorate the band by coloring on it with marker, decorative tape or gluing on shapes. 

3. Secure with velcro.
