Last week we stayed at this cottage along the Russian River and next to the bathroom sink they had a glass filled with pieces of lavender. Every morning I'd go in and stir it up just a bit and the whole room would smell so lovely. So when it came time for some Mother's Day gift ideas, lavender was on my mind.
The great thing about lavender is that it's cheap, it's pretty, it smells nice and it's amazing for helping you relax. It has "mom" written all over it, doesn't it? This project is pretty easy, even for little hands.
materials:
dried lavender
small sachet (you can find these at the Dollar Store etc. for cheap, or you might own one already!)
get to work:
1. Help your child run their hand down the stalk of the lavender going from top to bottom.
2. Make a small pile of lavender pieces and scoop them into the sachet.
3. You can tie it with a ribbon to make it a little fancier and you're done!
