My Funny Valentine

I asked my husband the other day what he thought I should make for Valentine's Day and he suggested "rose colored glasses." He's pretty funny isn't he? Well, this one's for you Love.

ages: 5 & up




materials:

Groucho glasses (you can find these at Target in the party aisle)
red cellophane
scissors
glue stick

get to work:

1. Remove the nose from the glasses (optional)

2. Trace the outside of the frames on a small square of cellophane.

3. Remove the (ear pieces) sides of the glasses and put aside.

4. Cut out the shapes you traced.

5. Put a small amount of glue around the inside rim of the glasses.

6. Place the shapes over the glasses, securing them to the frame.

7. Let dry.

8. Trim off excess.

9. Put the sides of the glasses back on.
