These monks make some of the most beautiful sand art you could imagine and once they're done, they wipe it away, sweep it up and send it down the river (more or less). Can you imagine creating something so beautiful and then destroying it? It's hard for adults to comprehend, but children do it every day. Just last week I helped Max build this great building for his cars (ok it was no sand painting), as soon as we finished it he began to take it apart. I was a bit crushed, but he was just fine with it. It just reminded me of the importance of process over product, it's the journey, not the end result right?
