We had so much fun working our little booth at the Maker Faire. So much, that I'm taking Monday off, but promise to be back tomorrow with more Halloween themed art activities!
Read on to check out some photos from the East Bay Mini Maker Faire.
The booth next to us had this beautiful chalk art. It was so cute to see all the children sitting on the ground, coloring it in.
I'm amazed that Max sat still for this spider to be painted on his arm! Unfortunately, it was quickly washed away after he discovered the water table with toy boats.
How autumnal is this leaf sculpture? I love art you can play in.
My little sister is visiting us this weekend and she helped me out at my booth. Thank you Heather for being a trooper and sacrificing one of your vacation days to make art with kids!
Here's Heather manning the booth while the little rascal in the booth behind ours joins in. She was pretty cute.
Our final project of the day was spin art with an old school salad spinner. Here are some of the pieces the kids made. The best part was explaining centrifugal force to eight year olds.
Finally, the highlight of the day, the bubble man. Honestly, when a man breaks out a bubble wand that's two fishing rods and a long rope, even adults come running.
