cheap art supplies

Can we talk about something near and dear to any teacher's heart? The cost of supplies, of course. Buying art supplies for use at home or in the classroom can get to be quite expensive. Fortunately more and more recycled supply stores are popping up! We bought a huge bag of crayons at the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse, our local recycle shop for $3.00! Max was so excited he carried the bag all the way home, (jabbering away about how he was going to color with Grandma), which was quite the feat for a 2 year old!

This got me thinking, I wonder what other awesome recycled art stores are in other states and cities. Here are some I found in our neck of the woods, and a few more for your convenience.
