Every Thursday morning Max and I have breakfast at one of our neighborhood cafes. It's sort of our thing and I look forward to it all week. Sometimes we grab a scone and play with the trucks he brought along, other times we'll sit near the windows and play "I spy", but today we discussed the art...

Since most cafes seem to have rotating art exhibits, they make for great mini museums, perfect for scoping out some art with a toddler.
Max and I chatted about two pieces displayed next to our table. One he said looked like one of his books, another he thought looked like him when he plays "King of the mountain" (aka when he stands on a rock).
What do you think? Do you and your kids ever have "date" days? If so, what do you do?
top images: Artist Unknown (sorry I looked but couldn't find a name)
these works are currently on display at : Hudson Bay Cafe in Oakland
