While Max wasn't terribly fond of this particular recipe, he still had fun helping me drop all the ingredients in. I find when you include your child in food prep, they're more open to trying something new, even if they don't love it.
Recipe after the jump...
ingredients:
1/2 cantaloupe diced and seeded
2 clementines peeled
1 - 2 teaspoons lime juice
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup of water
pinch of salt (the tiniest of pinches)
get to work:
1. Begin by dropping the cantaloupe into the food processor/blender and blend until pureed.
2. Strain the cantaloupe over cheesecloth or strainer into a container.
3. Pour the cantaloupe back into the food processor/blender and add remaining ingredients.
Blend again, occasionally tasting the mixture to make sure it's to your liking.
4. Strain the mixture again.
5. Serve over ice or refrigerate for no more than 2 days.
Enjoy!
