Pipe Cleaner Crowns

My husband was out of town this weekend so Max and I were left to our own devices, which meant that we spent an hour playing with beads, straws and pipe cleaners making crowns. Which resulted in another hour of playing "Prince and Princess" and ten minutes of sweeping up beads from my kitchen floor.

The possibilities really are endless when it comes to making pipe cleaner crowns, and I think they'd make a great activity for any young child's birthday party. These are pretty self explanatory so I'm going to skip the "how to" today. A few tips though:

1. By twisting two pipe cleaners together for the base of the crown you can make it sturdier.

2. Make sure to twist the end of the pipe cleaner up and away from the head, so that no one gets poked!
