Since Max is 2 I figured this is really the only year he'll let me take the lead on the Valentine's cards. Which is why I jumped on one of my favorite card ideas, the 3-d card with candy (I'm sure his teacher is going to love me sending him to school with lollipops for a group of 2 year olds).
These cards are actually easier than you'd imagine. Simply take a photo of your child pretending to be holding something in one hand. Click over to Pixlr or any other online photo editor for a few adjustments and ta-da! Print, and cut a small slit above and below the hands to slide the lollipop through (see here for the flower pop tutorial). Send it to school and wow your child's classmates!
PS
Special thanks to my brother Josh and sister Moriah for their extra additions of the shadow and the heart.
