Happy Halloween everyone! Here's a project that I wanted to post for Dia De Los Muertos, and also thought it would be perfect for a last minute Halloween craft. I present to you - egg carton skulls.

These would make great little candy holders! Don't you think?
materials:
egg carton
black & white tempera/acrylic paint
paint brushes
tooth pick or pencil
glue or tape
scissors
get to work:
1. Cut the egg carton into individual parts, trim the edges so that their straight and smooth.
2. Take two pieces and paint them completely white. Let dry.
3. Using a tooth pick or pencil (or fine point paint brush) paint the eyes and nose on one piece and the mouth on the other.
4. Glue together the two parts or put a small piece of tape in the back to hold them together.
