Jackson Pollock style paintings in minutes.
materials:
Egg Carton Brownie Pan
Printer Paper Tempera Paint
Marbles
get to work:
1.Using the egg carton as your paint palette, put a few drops of one color in each space.
2. Place a sheet of paper in the brownie pan. To prevent the edges from curling up as the paper dries, tape it down.
3. Drop a marble in each of the egg carton spaces and coat it with the paint.
4. Pick up the marble with your fingers (messy!!) or a spoon and drop it in the box (you can do two or three at a time).
5. Move the box from side to side to create that Pollock look.
Confession - when we made the piece for this activity I realized I didn't have any marbles at home! So instead I used blueberries, the roundest thing in the house. Alternately any round object works well, as long as it's not too absorbent. I highly recommend you experiment!
